Casino players are identified for taxes. Law signed

October 1, Vladimir Putin signed a law requiring land-based casinos in Russia to identify players. This law amended the current document that regulates the use of cash registers in gambling establishments.

The State Duma approved the changes back in the spring. After several months of traveling through the legislature, he reached the president and has already been put into execution. Now, when exchanging chips or checks at the casino cash desks, players will be registered with their first name, last name, patronymic and series + passport number, or simply TIN.

Further, this information will be sent to the tax authority, where they themselves calculate the amount of tax and send a notification to the player, who must pay the tax before December 1. You can read more about taxes on casino winnings in Russia here.
